Protect CALM Zoo is a community-led effort supporting the future of CALM Zoo through a long-term improvement and conservation plan designed to expand animal habitats, improve visitor experiences, strengthen wildlife rescue capabilities, and preserve the Zoo for future generations.
This measure helps secure the future of CALM Zoo by funding improvements that support animal care, conservation, education, wildlife rescue operations, and expanded experiences for families and visitors throughout Kern County.
The long-term master plan includes:

- New educational spaces and exhibits
- Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation support facilities
- Visitor experience improvements
