Entry Plaza Overview
By reorganizing the geometry of the parking lot and expanding the plaza, CALM’s improved entry experience will increase safety, boost revenue, and improve overall guest satisfaction.
New Parking
We’re redesigning the main and overflow parking areas to make it easier to get in, out, and around the Zoo.
Updated Entrance
The entrance will be more welcoming, with new landscaping, artwork, and clear signs guiding visitors to the main gate.
School Bus Entrance
Drivers will enjoy an easy car loop for quick drop-offs, and school groups will have their own bus lane and direct Zoo entry.
New Entry Village and Administrative Offices
A brand-new Entry Village will include ticketing, guest services, a gift shop, and offices upstairs for Zoo staff.
Cafe & Gift Shop
Just outside the gates, a quick-service cafe will give cyclists and visitors a place to stop and grab a treat—helping bring in extra support for the Zoo.
Education Hub
The current Entry Building will be transformed into an Education Hub, with flexible classrooms, storage, and space for learning programs.
Flex Habitat
Guests will be greeted by a brand-new small-animal exhibit to kick off their visit!
